چکیده

Statistical and synoptic studies of spring dust storms over the Arabian Peninsula (AP) were performed using surface observations from 27 stations meteorological data NCEP/NCAR reanalysis set for period 1978-2008. The study showed that, spatially, northern eastern AP are regions most affected by temporally, can be divided into two subperiods: before after 1995, with a pronounced increase 1995 smooth (decrease) respect to (dust storms) types. reveals three main atmospheric systems: frontal systems region, Red Sea Trough ()-related western thermal low region. Additionally, shows that all associated favorable pressure (geopotential) gradient area shape strength maximum wind upper-layer regimes suitable completely integrating layers. Moreover, southern is common component dust-related systems, but its effect particularly in system

The Temporal Analysis of Dust Storms in Khoramabad Synoptic Station

In this study, the changes in the Khorramabad storm in the period of 1952 to 2015 have been investigated. For this purpose, data from meteorological codes 06 and 07 were received from the Meteorological Organization of the country, and after identifying the days of winding with dust storms and calculating their monthly frequency, monthly, seasonal and annual time series were analyzed. In this s...

The Synoptic Patterns Associated with Spring Widespread Dusty Days in Central and Eastern Saudi Arabia

Four synoptic regimes were identified as accompanying the widespread dust in central and eastern Saudi Arabia. The widespread cases of dust were classified based on the value and spread of the aerosol index data from the TOMS aerosol index (TOMS AI) satellite over the area of interest. The synoptic regimes of these dust cases were recognized using the Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) analysi...
